Update

September 30 2015, 6,5 weeks after the stroke.

I’ve now spent 4 weeks here at the special rehab ward for patients with braindamage (sounds worse than it is, at least for me)
I am now walking on my own, completely without any fancy tools or aids (after going through wheelchair, walker and a cane). I do still have some instability in my knee, but nothin that stops me from walking
I still can’t use my left arm to the extent I’d like, I’m unable to stretch my fingers for intance, which makes releasing whatever I manage to carry in it a bit difficult. I AM however doing lots of exercises which makes my shoulder a bit sore.
I’ve tried something called NMES (Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation)(see video clip in my feed) on my left wrist to ”learn” my brain that the muscles are still there and make it find a way to communicate with them. What I’ve learned is that it’s easier to get large muscles (leg) to get going again than smaller muscles (hand, shoulder, knee)
As far as I’ve been told I’m being discharged from the hopital in two weeks (October 13) and being handed over to a neuro-team in my hometown (Södertälje) for further rehab and training.
