SuSE 8.2 and wireless pcmcia in my laptop…

I’ve had problems getting SuSE 8.2 to start dhcp on my wireless pcmcia card that I use in my laptop at home. I’m testing out w.bloggar. Edit (20:04): It seems to work as expected, unfortunately it’s M$ Windows based. 🙁 I’m trying desperately to find a similiar tool for UNIX/Linux, but the only thing I’ve found is MozBlog, but that’s not really what I want. I want a standalone tool. I’ll just have to continue looking…

framebuffer troubles…

I’ve had some troubles getting my home system use highresolution consoles, virtual-terminals, framebuffers or whatever the official name is… 🙂

It started out as installation troubles. I went out and bought SuSE 8.2 Professional, but when I started the installation (which defaults to graphical) my screen went black. I thought that it was that I had a too new graphics card – GeForce4 Ti 4800 SE, but it’s not it’s the amount of memory in the system that screws this up.

And I have now finally found the solution.
